Cheap Diamond Bracelets

Cheap diamond bracelets may not have the quality or weight of diamonds of the more expensive varieties but they can still pack quite a punch.

Several factors effect the price including the cut, clarity and colour. Diamonds can sometimes be less brilliant and therefore less valuable if the cut is not good. When it comes to colour, diamonds are graded into categories. A white diamond that is colourless is extremely valuable. For example exceptional whites would be categorised D, E and F while tinted colours range from M to Z. The easiest way to get a feel of the diamond’s colour quality is to put it against another one which has already been graded. Coloured diamonds such as yellow, green, blue, brown or pink are graded differently and are assessed by their colour intensity.

Clarity is also graded. When diamonds form, tiny particles of carbon or non-diamond crystals can get trapped inside. These foreign bodies are called inclusions and are often not always visible to the naked eye, but they do affect the light refraction. The international clarity grading scales range from flawless to imperfect 3 (I3).

Beware of diamond simulants. Cubic Zirconia is the most common form and is both created in laboratories and found in nature. It can be detected by a thermal pen test. Synthetic moissante is a new stimulant which is being marketed as a synthetic gemstone. Because its thermal properties are close to that of a diamond they are not so easy to detect.

All diamond jewellery sold at The Diamond Store adheres to the international grading rules and you can be assured of value for money when shopping with us.
