Diamond Bracelets for Men
Forget the old adage "diamonds are a girl´s best friend" because diamonds are also very much for the boys, especially when it comes to mens diamond bracelets. In fact bracelets were originally only worn by men.
When they were first created bracelets were not just as the very fashionable accessory they are today, but also as a protective item in Roman Times. Mighty soldiers would wear them on their forearms as part of their armour. Then called bracels (derived from the Latin brachhium meaning arm), the women caught on to this fashion and started wearing a smaller versions called little bracels or bracelets. Evidence of bracelets as a male item goes as far back as 2500 BC with examples being discovered in Ancient Egyptian tombs, showing that they have always been considered a symbol of male power and wealth.
Considered the most precious stones by the Hindus, diamonds were placed in
the eyes of their most significant statues and idols. Fifteenth century
nobility were the first to wear them as an item of decoration and to represent position and status. However today modern technology which makes the mining process much cheaper plus the discovery in the late 19th century of a large deposit of diamonds, has meant diamond jewellery is more affordable to the general populace.
With men nowadays far more concerned about how they look with special
grooming treatments becoming more popular and new fashion magazines
appearing on the booksheves every week, there is no better gift to give to
the image conscious man in your life then a
mens diamond bracelet. As it is not unusual for over 250 tons of earth to be
mined before a single one carat of good quality diamond is found they will
always be regarded as the premier precious stone and remain so for countless
years to come.
